LAEP 1030 - Introduction to Landscape Architecture
Environment as a basis for land use and design decisions. Topics discussed include environmental awareness, the planning and design process, and design related to open space, communities, and the region. Three one-hour lectures per week.
LAEP 1200 - Basic Graphics
Under the co-leadership of Dave and Kris Kvarfordt, essential graphic communication methods are taught. Graphic techniques for landscape architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, isometrics, perspectives and renderings. Various media is explored for preparing drawings and sketches for presentations. Two, three-hour studio sessions per week.
LAEP 4900/6900 - LARE Prep
This course is an elective for students who are interested in learning more about and preparing for the Landscape Architects Registration Examination. This unique, innovative course will provide insight into the various sections of the LARE and recommend methods for preparing to sit for the exam. This is an 8-week course, with two 90-minute lectures per week.
